Who we are

Orby is a daily planning app and website operated by Mi Assist Studio ("Orby," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect on this website and in the Orby app, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect on this website

• Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist, we store the email address you give us and which part of the page you joined from.
• Usage analytics. We use PostHog to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed and buttons clicked, and we may record how a visit moves through the site so we can fix what's confusing. Passwords are never recorded. This may include your IP address, browser type, and device information.

Information we collect in the Orby app

• Account information. Your email address and sign-in details when you create an account.
• Your plans and goals. The goals, plans, notes, and captures you create in Orby, stored securely so they sync across your devices.
• Calendar busy times. If you connect your calendar, Orby uses your busy times to plan around existing events. Event title sharing is off by default. If you turn on "Share event titles with Orby's AI" in calendar settings, titles from the calendars you select are also sent to Orby's servers and AI provider to help build your plan. You can turn this off at any time to stop sharing titles for future plans. Calendar event descriptions are not sent to the planner.
• Voice input. If you use voice capture, speech is transcribed on your device. We store the resulting text, not the audio.
• Subscription status. We use RevenueCat to know whether your subscription is active. Payments in the app are processed by Apple, and payments on tryorby.app are processed by Stripe. We never see your card number.

Texting with Orby

If you text with Orby (over iMessage, SMS, Telegram, or WhatsApp), we collect:

• Your phone number or messaging handle. Whatever identifier your texting app uses to reach you.
• The messages you send and Orby's replies. The full text of your conversation with Orby.
• Photos you send. If you text Orby a photo, we store it so Orby can use it in the conversation.
• Delivery and read status. Whether a text was delivered and read, so we can tell if a message did not go through.

We use this to reply to you, to run the reminders and check-ins you ask for, and to keep the service working and safe.

Our team and the AI tools we use, including Claude by Anthropic, may review conversations to check quality and safety, and someone on our team may occasionally reply. Every time someone on our team opens a conversation, it is logged.

Your texts and Orby's replies are processed by AI providers to write those replies, and this data is not used to train third-party models.

We keep your texting history while your account is active. If you delete your account, in the app or by emailing hello@tryorby.app, we delete it within 30 days. If you text Orby without an account, we keep those messages until you ask us to delete them.

Text stop anytime and Orby goes quiet. Text start to turn it back on.

How we use information

• To provide and improve Orby, including AI-generated weekly plans.
• To email you about your waitlist spot and the launch, if you joined the waitlist.
• To understand how the product is used so we can make it better.
• To provide support when you contact us.

When Orby generates your weekly plan, the goals and scheduling context you provide are processed by an AI model. We send only what is needed to build your plan, and this data is not used to train third-party models.

What we never do

• We never sell your personal information.
• We never share your calendar event titles with the AI planner unless you turn on title sharing.
• We never text you out of the blue. Orby texts you only after you text it first or turn on texting in the app, sends recurring texts (like a morning check-in) only after you agree to them, and stops whenever you text stop.
• The waitlist is email only.

Sharing

We share information only with the service providers that run Orby: Supabase (database and authentication), PostHog (analytics), RevenueCat (subscription management), Stripe (payments on tryorby.app), Sendblue (carries your texts to and from Orby), Anthropic (Claude, which may review conversations for quality), and the AI providers that generate plans. Each processes data on our behalf under their own security commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active or while you are on the waitlist. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us, and we will remove it within 30 days. You can leave the waitlist by replying to any email we send.

Children

Orby is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above.
